Very rarely have I read a book on history, any history, that interests me. I am not into history and find it generally boring . . . .
Noreen’s book, A DOG CALLED BLUE, had me captured from the first page. This book actually takes you through time, with the Hail family, the cattle empire they built and the conditions in Australia at that time. It ‘walks’ you through the reasons why these two great Australian breeds were developed.
It answers many questions on myths surrounding these two great Aussies.
I would have to say it is a ‘must have’ book; an accurate and well researched document on the history and development of these breeds. The chapters on genetics and breed type will be invaluable to serious breeders.
I am extremely honoured to have been asked to contribute a chapter.
